Unfortunately, a season of robotics is not cheap—from the cost of the parts that we use to build the robots, to competition fees and all that's involved in housing and feeding the team when away from home.
We always welcome new sponsors to join the DCS Robotics family. Most sponsorships take the form of cash contributions, but in-kind donations can work as well. Every gift helps no matter the size!

If you've never been to a competitive robotics event before, you're in for a surprise! We're not talking quiet old middle school science fair here. Robotics events are one part sporting event, one part carnival. We'd love to have you come out and join the party.

Consult or be a Mentor
One of the most important resources we need to be successful are volunteers. Volunteers enrich our team's lives by sharing their knowledge, and often the limits of what we can accomplish are defined by how many adults there are to keep everything running smoothly.
Volunteers don't need any prior robotics experience—just a willingness to help out. You'll learn everything you need to know right along side our team.
Also, we're always on the lookout for knowledgeable people who are willing to consult with us and share their expertise on a short term basis. Are you a STEM professional? We'd love to have your input on our team's process. Do you have experience in strategy, promotions, or marketing? Our team needs those too!
Donate to Metal4Metal
It's great to be a robotics team in Michigan. Sitting under your kitchen counter or in your garage are probably dozens of pop cans (soda cans?) ready to be returned for that 10¢ deposit. But who has time for that trip to the store?
Consider donating your cans for robotics! Bring your cans and returnable bottles to school and our robotics team will return them as part of our Metal4Metal program. On Metal4Metal days, a team of robotics members will be available during morning school drop-off to receive your cans right at the curb. See our calendar page for the next scheduled Metal4Metal day. Bins are also located around the school building for collecting small numbers of cans.
